In 1976, the year of America’s bicentennial, there were a multitude of celebration festivals, tall ships, a special cross -country train, and a horse race all the way from New York to California. Numerous pure-bred horses were entered. Arabians, Icelandic Ponies, Tennessee Walkers and more came from across the country and the world, and only a few hybrids (mules) were entered. The winner will be announced in class. This is a single lecture on 12/2.
