Ardovino’s Desert Crossing is situated at the base of Mt. Cristo Rey, just a few minutes from UTEP, and has a variety of useful plants on the grounds. These plants can be used as food, soap, bug repellent, deodorant, string, and all sorts of medicines. Join the group on a leisurely stroll around the Ardovino’s Desert Crossing Farmers’ Market starting at the Coffee Stream trailer and ending with a plant-based beverage. This tour is on 10/25.

Eric Kappus
Dr. Eric Kappus is a Biology/Geology Professor at Southwest University at El Paso. He is also a Research Associate Professor at the University of Texas at El Paso, a research Paleontologist for the New Mexico Museum of Natural History and Science, and president of the 501 (c)(3) Celebration of our Mountains. Dr. Kappus researches trace fossils in the El Paso region, where he has reported over 35 different types, including dinosaur footprints.
